Long time no see!<\/p>\n
For the longest time I have struggled on how to get back onto this blog and post \u2013 yes I know I could have reached out to ask but did I\u2026.No I just kept banging my head against the wall when I made attempts.\u00a0 And then an email came in from the platform that hosts it and I started clicking links.\u00a0 Poof here I am now \u2013 after deleting a lot of potential spam posting.<\/p>\n
Clark & I celebrated our 26th anniversary yesterday \u2013 seems like a shocking number. His comment in the card he gave me was about being with me for more time than with his own parents \u2013 if you actually quiet your mind and think about it, its really amazing that we choose to spend our lives with one person.\u00a0 Parents blindly go into parenthood \u2013 you give birth and you dedicate your life to this little person but with a spouse its a bit different.\u00a0 We come into relationships as individuals \u2013 quite possibly (oh no doubt) with different ideas than your partner but if you commit and put the work in your grow into this unit that from there grows more solid than rock! We have a lot of conversations about our journey so far and we celebrate what we have accomplished quite often.\u00a0 Here\u2019s to another 26 years \u2013 or more!\u00a0 I\u2019ve posted a picture that we took the year before we were married \u2013 we had escaped to Jasper for a camping weekend and it\u2019s one of my favourite pictures of us.<\/p>\n
I am off on a driving adventure on Sunday \u2013 first time driving down to Vancouver Island by myself.\u00a0 I\u2019ve always enjoyed driving but as I\u2019ve aged the winter driving has got a bit of a challenge, I\u2019m not as adventuresome in that aspect. There could be a bit of snow between here and Hope, BC but I\u2019m just rolling with anything I come across \u2013 slow & steady wins the race.\u00a0 Once I get down there I\u2019ll have a visit with my Dad, Uncle Joe, Aunt Heather and my sister, Bonnie.\u00a0 It still seems strange to be down there without seeing my Mom or Bonus Mom \u2013 they are in my heart but its certainly a different vibe.<\/p>\n
