<\/a><\/p>\nSo rather than trying to catch up whatever has happened between our last post and today I\u2019ll just ramble on and add whatever comes to mind!!<\/p>\n
We have lived here at Poverty Acres for coming on six years.\u00a0 In fact, six years ago we had just moved into the shop \u2013 Cooper was in school and Chloe was working full time. In the blink of an eye we have no kids in school and we are in the early plans of downsizing and selling Poverty Acres.\u00a0 BUT not for a few more years \u2013 we have promised Cooper that he can live for a few years paying cheap rent. We\u2019ve had people as us WHY SELL?? Well the short answer is we are ready to start an adventure of just Clark & I \u2013 no responsibility of mortgages, utilities, property taxes or high stress jobs. Clark is ready to step away from the oilfield and try different things \u2013 I\u2019m just ready to enjoy life together. We\u2019ve given up a lot having been employed by the oilfield \u2013 its a wonderful way to make a real good income but it takes away from life. In our almost 20 years together we have not attached to any of our homes \u2013 we both looked at them as investments. Walking away from Poverty Acres will be bittersweet only in the fact that its the last home we will have had that we raised our kids in. But honestly we don\u2019t enjoy it \u2013 like enjoy it as most people would.\u00a0 We have had six summers and never once sat at the fire pit \u2013 Cooper has \u2013 LOTS \u2013 with all his friends which is awesome! We are just the maintenance people \u2013 and let me tell you there is a lot of maintenance to having an acreage.\u00a0 \u00a0So between now and when we drive away for the last time we are going to continue to putter and finish up the landscaping. We will enjoy, to the best of our ability, our time here.<\/p>\n
