I actually don’t mind doing laundry – I would rather do that than say clean a bathroom (ugh my least favorite thing to do) but I starting thinking about laundry as I was hanging Clark’s underwear – hahahahah.

I’m a bit of a nut when it comes to laundry in all truthfulness – I like to fold my towels a certain way – and when someone else comes along (let’s just say Clark) and folds them all haphazardly then that really throws me off (a disorder I think so) – I’ve in fact refolded towels just because it drives me insane. Now don’t get me wrong I appreciate help but when they are not folded with a three-fold they don’t fit in the linen closet then you have to crunch them in. I’ve in fact started rolling the towels I keep in our bathroom closet which is a step for me – but it’s small and I find they fit more when rolled.

So back to my initial thoughts – I only do laundry for Clark, Cooper & I – once the kids turned 12 they were taught to do their own laundry which is pretty good – since when they hit their teens and get quirky about what they wear it’s easy for me since they are responsible to keep their own clean. Colton started this trend – when he was in about Grade 7 he would only wear about 2 pairs of his jeans and I refused to do laundry that often so for safety sake (his life or mine) I introduced him to the wonderful world of laundry. I must have done something right as he separates colors, whites & jeans unlike his sister who just rams as much into the washer as humanly possible so his load consumption is much less. Which really is good for Clark & I as it’s less wear & tear on the machines & water bill….little does she realize her clothes really don’t get that cleaning they could be. YES I’ve told her this but she hasn’t come to the point in her life to realize Mom does know some things! Cooper – well he’s still riding the gravy train – but I’m going to take a guess and say he’ll be like Chloe – ram-a-lama ding-dong as much as he can get into the machine – and then probably forget he’s doing it until I find the stinking clothes in the washer – YUCK!!

I have Clark trained – only in the last year – to bring his laundry to the laundry room and I’ll clean & put away. He likes to pile his clothes beside the bed. Yes I knew this trait when I met him – first time I seen his room when we first started going out I was left waiting in the hall (with the door closed) as he bashed & crashed around and finally opened it up to welcome me in. I looked around – it was tidy…too tidy – so me being me – I opened the closet to his horror and found a mountain of laundry in the bottom. Anyways he likes to pile beside the bed – and sift through between work & good clothes. He’s good that way – wears his clothes for more than one day but before I’d come along & pack them all away only his hear him yell – those were clean!!! Now when he’s ready he brings them to me – great system.

Quite a while ago as I’m folding boy clothes I questioned whether they even pay attention to the fact underwear is inside or outside…because it seems when they peel it off it’s a jumbled mess and I’m constantly unfolding to make it right side out. Now since I don’t work I have more time on my hands which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it – but I decided I would test my theory that really they don’t care – they being Clark. A couple of nights ago he came downstairs in his undies after a shower & I couldn’t help but notice the writing on the outside of his underwear and snickered to myself – nope doesn’t care – inside or out. OR he’s really getting his wear out of them and turning them inside out after wearing them the proper way!!!!

Cheers,

Shannon

Well I certainly didn’t expect to be this absent with my blogging – have been doing lots of thinking and I also have a book I write stuff in to…

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

8,1

post-119","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-miscellaneous","category-uncategorized
["GET
