Oh yah we got some sun today – spent 6 hours at Seaworld and by the last hour Chloe had a lady ask her if she wanted sunscreen…pretty good indication she’s had enough sun!
So being the ‘seasoned’ theme park traveler that I am – in my humble opinion Seaworld is the “it” place to go. Well that being said only if you are more apt to see ‘shows’ than ride ‘rides’. Disneyland is great & all don’t get me wrong but it’s crazy busy and in all honesty you need at least 3 full days there to actually take in all sections of the park – not even included California Adventure Park across the way – which is just a smaller version of Disneyland.
Seaworld is great for shows!! We took in Cirque de la Mer which is an off shoot of Cirque de solei I’ve seen in Vegas – extreme acrobat high over water – diving & performing like you can’t imagine!
They are 20 minute shows so keeps you entertained and yet not too long that you bake in the sun. We went early to shows & got great seats – then wandered into one and still got a great seat. I actually don’t think there is a bad seat at any of them….depends if you want to get wet from the performers….especially the killer whales – they proved to be the best splashers!!
We also took in a Dolphin Show, Sea Lions Live and weren’t disappointed at any of them!
We only rode 1 ride – the Shipwreck Rapids – which there is a similar ride at California Adventure so knew what we were getting ourselves into. Basically a huge tube like ride – there was a famly of 4 and the 2 of us – and by the time we got through the ride we were SOAKED – Chloe faired the best – but it was loads of fun! We are planning a return to Seaworld on Friday as we only took in half the park – tomorrow is a lazy day at the pool – get some sun to even out our tans and enjoy the pool, ping pong table, pool table, and mini golf that is right here in the Hotels courtyard.
